Frequently Asked Questions

`Will my child cry?

The short answer, yes. The long answer - crying is the only form of communication for babies. Do toddlers cry when they protest? Yes! How do we know when babies are hungry? They cry. How do we know babies have a poopy diaper? They cry.

However, what I do not do is coach you to shut the cry and let your little one cry. The approaches we take will allow you to still be present for your child so they know that you are there loving and supporting them, while we are also teaching them independent sleep.

What age can I start sleep training?

At minimum, your child should be 16 weeks old and at least 12 lbs. If your child is a preemie, we will definitely want to use their adjusted age.

However, we can start implementing health sleep habits and a healthy sleep foundation as newborns!

What if sleep training does not work?

Most families will see a significant change in their child’s sleep within the first week of implementing the plan. However, it is important that you stick to the plan and are consistent with the changes to see these positive results. But don’t worry - I will be there to guide you until your sleep goals are met!

What if my baby is still hungry at night?

We can 100% sleep train a baby while still keeping overnight feeds. Some babies are just not ready to drop night time feeds and some still need those extra calories. However, we can help still work on independent sleep while keeping overnight feeds in your plan
